Bashline, Rapp, Smith Demand Immediate Action to Avert Full Closure of Local Tourist Attraction

HARRISBURG – The Pennsylvania Department of Conservation and Natural Resources (DCNR) is planning to close Ridge Campground in Cook Forest State Park, an 8,500-acre park that runs through Clarion, Forest and Jefferson counties, for the entire 2027 season to build three new shower houses and tear down four existing shower houses. Ridge Campground, one of the largest in Pennsylvania's state park system, contains approximately 210 campsites and serves thousands of families each year.

Rapp, Marcell Request Audit of Birth, Death Certificate Processes

HARRISBURG — Reps. Kathy L. Rapp (R-Warren/Crawford/Forest) and Kristin Marcell (R-Bucks) have authored a letter to Pennsylvania Auditor General Tim DeFoor requesting an audit of the Department of Health’s (DOH) Division of Vital Records. The division is responsible for the issuance and oversight of birth and death records in the Commonwealth.

Celebrating June as ‘Life Month’

WHAT: Event to celebrate June as “Life Month” in Pennsylvania and to mark the third year since the U.S. Supreme Court overturned Roe v. Wade, on June 24, 2022, effectively ruling there is no federal constitutional right to an abortion. There will also be educational booths on life in the Main Capitol Rotunda from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
